Saturday, March 7th was a busy day in the life of Mrs. Alexandria! I started the day early preparing for the
Fun Dog Show. The Fun Dog Show is an annual fundraising event for the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. I along with Team
Karing by Kristina and
Barkley Square host the event at Market Square in Old Town Alexandria. This year sponsors for the event included
NOVA Dog Magazine,
Dogtopia of Alexandria, Nature's Select DC,
Paws and Claws Photography, Paws, Purrs and Exotics Animal Hospital as well as several others all raising money for the AWLA. I am happy to announce that we raised $1500 this year which is almost double the amount raised last year!

My next stop was the St. Patrick's Day Parade. This event is hosted by the
Ballyshaners who began the parade tradition and the Fun Dog Show 28 years ago. I had a fun time riding in the parade in my car sponsored by Karing by Kristina.
My final stop for the day was the Miss Alexandria pageant. I was the official dressing room hostess. I spent the evening helping the contestants with outfit changes, safety pins, top stick and eyelashes! I am pictured above with ErikaThomas,
